A bathroom is the smallest room in the house and the one most likely to cost you later if it is done badly. Waterproofing that fails, falls that do not drain, ventilation that lets mould take hold — none of it shows on handover day, and all of it shows in two years.
Complete Homes is a family-owned Gold Coast renovation company, started by William in 1985 and run today by his son Fouad. We do full bathroom renovations: strip out, structural and service changes, waterproofing, tiling and fit-off, finished properly and certified where required.

The parts that are worth doing properly
Waterproofing
This is the single most important thing in a bathroom and the easiest to cut corners on, because nobody sees it. We do not cut corners on it. It is also the thing that most often causes a bathroom to be ripped out again years early.
Falls and drainage
Water sitting on a floor is a screeding problem, not a cleaning problem. Linear drains, hobless showers and large format tiles all make falls harder to get right, which is exactly why they need an experienced hand.
Ventilation
In this climate an undersized or unducted exhaust fan guarantees mould. We size it to the room and duct it outside.
Ensuites, main bathrooms and powder rooms
We renovate all three, and often all three in the same project. If you are doing more than one, doing them together usually saves both money and disruption — the trades are already on site and the services work overlaps.
Where we work
We renovate right across the Gold Coast — every suburb, from the northern corridor down to the border. Homes we work on regularly include Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island, Paradise Point, Sorrento, Main Beach, Isle of Capri, Broadbeach Waters, Mermaid Beach, Benowa, Clear Island Waters and Tallai, along with the established streets of Southport, Labrador, Ashmore, Nerang, Miami, Burleigh Heads, Burleigh Waters, Palm Beach, Currumbin, Mudgeeraba, Robina, Varsity Lakes and Runaway Bay.
If your suburb is not on that list it does not mean we do not go there. We service the entire Gold Coast.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will we be without the bathroom?
Longer than most people expect, because waterproofing and screeds need curing time that cannot be rushed. We will give you a realistic number before we start and stick to it.
Can we move the toilet or shower?
Usually yes. It depends on where the waste runs and whether the floor is slab or timber. We will tell you what is straightforward and what is expensive before you fall in love with a layout.
Do we need council approval?
A like-for-like bathroom renovation generally does not. Structural change, moving walls or altering drainage can. We handle approvals where they are needed.
What does a bathroom renovation cost?
Size, layout changes, tile selection and tapware move the number a long way. Our Gold Coast bathroom renovation guide walks through what drives the cost.
